Trails:
Booking & Consulting
Clear guidance on how we communicate, how consultations work, and how to begin your project.
What time your studio is open? Can I walk in?
Our studio works strictly by appointment. Walk ins are not accepted. We work every day except Wednesday, and tattooing hours are from 11 am to 4 pm.
Can we discuss my tattoo idea by phone or Zoom?
Since every tattoo is custom, we need written details to understand your idea and prepare a clear plan. Consultations are done by email. In rare cases, a client may be invited for an in person meeting. Phone and Zoom consultations are not offered.
How can I request a consultation?
Submit the consultation form with a clear description and reference images. After reviewing your request, we will let you know if we can move forward.
What if I have only one simple question?
Even simple questions require basic context. We ask all clients to submit the form first so we can give accurate guidance.
I have never been tattooed before. How do we begin?
Start by sending a short description and reference images. If your idea fits our direction, we will schedule a detailed discussion and then book your first session.
I submitted a consultation request but did not receive a reply.
We usually respond within a few days. If the wait feels long, reply to the confirmation email you received. Also check your junk mail folder. Sometimes emails land there.
What is your current waiting time for appointments?
Waiting time depends on demand. It is usually about four to five months between consultation and the first session.
Do I need to pay anything to discuss my idea?
If your idea fits well, a small processing fee confirms your commitment. It is non refundable. Future conversations for the same project do not require additional fees.
Pricing & Deposit Policy
Clear guidance on session rates, the deposit, and how schedule changes are handled.
Can I get a price estimate before our discussion?
Accurate pricing is not possible before seeing your idea. Size, detail, skin type, and placement all affect timing and cost. A realistic estimate becomes possible only after consultation.
What is the typical cost of a Japanese full sleeve?
Every sleeve is unique. Some require about fifteen hours while others may take thirty five or more. Complexity, skin response, and healing all influence the total time.
Do I need to leave a deposit?
Yes. After we agree on your project, a five hundred dollar deposit plus transaction fee is required. It secures your first appointment. Please review the deposit and cancellation policy before paying.
Can I cancel my appointment?
Appointments cannot be cancelled, but you may reschedule once with at least seventy two hours notice. Less notice results in a lost deposit. The new appointment must be booked within thirty days.
Can I postpone my project?
You may postpone your All Set project for up to one year. Rates may change over time. If the reason is financial, longer healing breaks between sessions can help spread out the cost.
Can I see full text of your Deposit Policy?
Absolutely. Original Deposit and Cancellation Policy can be found HERE➜
Design Process & Scheduling
How your design comes together and how we plan sessions with a steady, natural rhythm.
Can the process be expedited?
Custom design requires time, and clients ahead of you are already in progress. Designs are normally ready one or two weeks before your session. If you prefer something sooner, you may choose a piece from the flash collection ➜.
When will my tattoo design be ready and how can I see it?
Before your first appointment we request photos and simple measurements. One to two weeks before your session, you receive a Photoshop mockup with the line work placed on your photo or a 3D model. Adjustments are made during the first appointment, and shading or color develops over later sessions.
Can I book several appointments in advance?
Yes. This is the best method for large projects. Due to high demand, appointments are booked one by one. After confirming your first date, you receive a self scheduling link for all future sessions.
What break do you recommend between sessions?
We recommend at least a three to four week healing break. Every person heals differently, and longer breaks are often helpful.
What is the typical length of a tattoo session?
Most sessions last around four hours. Longer sessions can be stressful for the body. For clients traveling from out of state, we offer double sessions: two consecutive days, each with a four hour appointment.
Tattoo Style & Scope
Our approach to Irezumi and how each project is shaped to follow the body’s form.
What style of tattooing do you specialize in?
We work exclusively in Japanese inspired tattooing known as Irezumi. Each project follows traditional flow, placement, and symbolism.
Do you copy tattoos or recreate someone else’s artwork?
No. Every tattoo is original. References help us understand your taste, but the final work is created specifically for your body.
Do you offer small or isolated designs?
Our focus is large scale Japanese compositions. Small isolated designs may not match this approach and are not always accepted.
How do you approach framed and unframed patterns?
Japanese tattooing uses clear boundaries shaped to the body. These borders support harmony and flow. We guide each client toward the most balanced structure for their anatomy.
Aftercare & Studio Guidelines
Simple steps to care for your tattoo and understand the healing process.
Should I arrive early for my appointment?
Arriving exactly on time is ideal. Being a little early helps, but the main thing is not being late. A calm start allows the session to unfold without rush.
How should I prepare for my appointment?
A few simple steps make a big difference.
Keep the tattoo area out of the sun.
Sleep well.
Have a good breakfast.
Wear clean, comfortable clothing and bring slippers or a towel if it helps you relax.
Bring your photo ID and wash your hands when you arrive.
Avoid alcohol, substances, painkillers, and topical anesthetics before, during, and after the session.
What kind of hygiene do you expect from clients?
Please arrive freshly showered, wearing clean clothing, and wash your hands upon entering the studio. Avoid heavy scents or perfumes. Do not wear jewelry near the area that will be tattooed.
Can I bring someone with me to the appointment?
No. Guests cannot accompany you. Keeping the space quiet and free from distractions helps maintain focus and supports a smooth workflow.
What should I avoid before my session?
Do not drink alcohol or use any substances. Do not take painkillers or apply numbing creams. These interfere with your body’s natural rhythm and can affect the quality of the tattoo.
How should I behave during the tattoo session?
Stay as still as you comfortably can, breathe steadily, and relax your shoulders. If you need a short break, simply let the artist know. A steady posture helps the artist to create clean and solid tattoo. And not using your phone allows the work to flow without interruption.
What if the pain becomes uncomfortable?
Some discomfort is normal. Do not fight it. Breathe, stay present, and let your body settle. If it becomes too intense, we will pause. Patience and steady breathing make the experience much smoother.
What should I eat before the session?
Have a simple, balanced meal a few hours before your appointment. Avoid heavy or sugary foods. Do not come on an empty stomach.
Will there be breaks during the session?
Yes. Short breaks are available whenever needed. We keep them brief so your body stays warm and the working rhythm remains steady.
What is the best position to keep during the tattooing process?
ContactFollow the position the artist guides you into. It is chosen to support clean, controlled work while keeping you as comfortable as possible. Stay relaxed, breathe evenly, and avoid shifting unless we pause.
How do I take care of my tattoo after the session?
Taking proper care of your new tattoo is essential to ensure vibrant colors, smooth healing, and long-lasting results. Follow these aftercare guidelines carefully:
1. Initial Care:
- Keep the bandage on until the next morning.
- If you think it may come off while sleeping, remove it before bed or as soon as you notice it has loosened.
2. First Wash:
- Gently remove the bandage under warm running water to prevent sticking and damage to the tattoo.
- Wash the tattoo with unscented soap and warm water to remove blood, plasma, and excess ink.
- Pat dry with a clean paper towel and allow the tattoo to air dry for 5-10 minutes.
3. Moisturizing:
- Apply a thin layer of the [recommended lotion](https://www.lubriderm.com/products/daily-moisture-lotion-fragrance-free) to keep the skin hydrated.
- Ensure the lotion is fully absorbed and does not leave a greasy residue.
- If you notice any blood after applying lotion, gently dab it away with a clean paper towel, do not rub.
4. General Healing Care:
- Do not re-bandage the tattoo.
- Moisturize 3-4 times daily throughout the healing process.
- Allow the tattoo to peel naturally, do not pick, scratch, or force any flakes off.
- Avoid soaking the tattoo in water for at least two weeks, no swimming, baths, hot tubs, or saunas.
- Stick to quick showers and avoid excessive soap on the tattooed area until peeling is complete.
5. Sun Protection & Long-Term Care:
- Avoid all sun exposure during the healing process by keeping your tattoo covered.
- Even after healing, protect your tattoo from direct sunlight and always use sunblock to maintain its vibrancy.
- Avoid shaving or waxing over the tattoo until it is fully healed.
