Gobusode (五分袖) – The Half (Short) Sleeve


In Irezumi, gobusode, commonly known as a half sleeve or short sleeve, extends from the chest panel (hikae) and ends slightly above the elbow, mirroring the length of a T-shirt sleeve. It offers a balanced, traditional look that’s still easy to conceal.
