On Being Published
A magazine page is a photograph of a moment.
The tattoo it shows keeps changing for years after the shutter closes, and the ideas behind it change too. So I read these pages the way I read my own older work: as evidence of where the practice stood at the time, not as a final word on it.
The eBooks are a different kind of record: drawings made as research alongside the tattooing, and kept available because the drawing is part of the work.
