London Tattoo Convention 2016

London Tattoo Convention 2016. We are working at our favourite Tattoo Show and here is a short photo report from London Tattoo convention. I believe it will give you main idea about the show, even though it would never present any emotional atmosphere of such great event!

Inked revellers turned up in their droves for the first day of The International London Tattoo Convention today.

More than 400 tattoo artists from around the world have made their way to Tobacco Dock, in the capital’s east end for the event.

And various styles, from traditional images to photo-realistic artworks, have been on display as visitors made their way around the stalls.

Some customers were pictured wincing in pain as they added to their impressive collections while others showed off designs that ranged from the inspirational to the bizarre.

A spokesman for the convention promised that this year’s event, which runs across the whole weekend, will be the ‘biggest yet’. He added:  ‘Several stages of electrifying entertainment will be positioned throughout the venue including our impressive Tattoo Life Competition stage and catwalk, offering visitors the chance to observe the most impressive skin-inked artworks of the weekend in detail.’ ( Daily Mail )

Blue octopus and cherry blossoms tattoo sleeve
By George Bardadim 13 Mar, 2024
In the world of tattoos, the Japanese irezumi style is known for its intricate designs, bold colors, and deep symbolism. One popular motif in this style is the blue octopus and cherry blossoms, often seen in full sleeve tattoos. This combination of elements holds significant meaning in Japanese traditions and culture. The blue octopus Known as "tako" in Japanese, is a powerful symbol of intelligence, adaptability, and mystery. In Japanese folklore, the octopus is also associated with transformation and regeneration due to its ability to regenerate its limbs. This creature is often seen as a guardian and protector, representing strength and resilience. Cherry Blossoms On the other hand, cherry blossoms, or "sakura" in Japanese, are a well-known symbol of beauty, impermanence, and the transient nature of life. These delicate flowers bloom for a short period of time before falling to the ground, reminding us of the fleeting nature of life and the importance of living in the present moment.
