Tattoo exhibition in Paris

Tattoo exhibition in Paris. Being in Paris for Tattoo Convention, I’ve visited Tattoo exhibition which takes place at Musee Du Quai Branly. I would highly recommend it to everyone who is somewhere nearby!

This exhibition is a hit!  “Tatoueurs, Tatoues Tattoo” exhibition at the Musée du Quai Branly  has hosted no less than 330k visitors since May 2014 .  It is now the most visited show ever in this museum! Tattoos have a major role in our daily lives, for a cultural or a personal expression.

Why is it worth it?  Tattoos are not just a punk and antisocial movement, it’s been trending for a few centuries now! That’s why the 5,000-year-old history of tattooing has been brought to life in this fascinating exhibition which charts the evolution of body art over the centuries, from intricate tribal inkings to bold modern designs at the Internet era. In the world of tattoos, the Japanese irezumi style is known for its intricate designs, bold colors, and deep symbolism. One popular motif in this style is the blue octopus and cherry blossoms, often seen in full sleeve tattoos. This combination of elements holds significant meaning in Japanese traditions and culture. The blue octopus Known as "tako" in Japanese, is a powerful symbol of intelligence, adaptability, and mystery. In Japanese folklore, the octopus is also associated with transformation and regeneration due to its ability to regenerate its limbs. This creature is often seen as a guardian and protector, representing strength and resilience. Cherry Blossoms On the other hand, cherry blossoms, or "sakura" in Japanese, are a well-known symbol of beauty, impermanence, and the transient nature of life. These delicate flowers bloom for a short period of time before falling to the ground, reminding us of the fleeting nature of life and the importance of living in the present moment.
